FLASH! FLASH! NEW CHAMPION ZEBEDEE!! FLASH! FLASH!

Maura Wright of MD (shown below) piloted her Zebedee to his AKC Championship all on her own, finishing him in a few outings between January and August of 2009. A dog with real style, he got a lot of good comments both on his flashy type and his satisfying soundness. They are now off to conquer various dogsports, but they'll be back in the breed ring from time to time. Look for them at the 2009 National, Specialty as well as at various regional Specialty shows in 2009 & 2010.

FLASH! NEW CHAMPION CHROMA'S MAGIC ROUNDABOUT CGC...aka Maura's Zebedee......! FLASH!

Zeb finished Saturday, August 22nd, 2009, picking up his last 2 pts. in PN. He grabbed his 2nd Major over 4th of July weekend where Skip Thielen rewarded his balance and "type on the move" for his 2nd major win. He received both his majors from the 12-18 & all his points were owner-handled by a newcomer to showing!

Go Maura! Earlier this summer, Zeb was WD/BOW on Sunday at the Met-Wash shows for 5 pts. under breeder-judge Rosemary Hubrich, as well as RWD the day before under breeder-judge Gina Jaeblon. Zeb was also owner-handed to WD/BOW under Charles Olvis, then WD again the same weekend under Helene Nietsche. Zeb then picked up two more points under David Bolus going BOW in May, then another BOW on June 26th (RD Smith) & a major Reserve (James Noe) the Blue Crab Cluster. Maura & Zebedee are making a great new team on the Dane scene!

THE STORY BOOK BOYZ!

FLASH! Vegas is pulled in huge PN shows for Winners! FLASH!

Vegas is pointed from the puppy classes & is looking to follow his Champion parents & CHampion brother soon. He was pulled for the cuts in a large National Futurity, plus took a 2nd in his regular class at the National. He also took Best Junior in Sweeps & was pulled for Winners Dog the same day his dam took a 5 pt. major to finish. Vegas was handled to these wins by his breeder-owner Judi Arsenault. Watch for him now with Kelly Weidner, as he's joined the BMW-LR team of Bill & Dorothy LaRosa.

Four and counting (Rene, Zebedee, Mabel & Lilly) as yearlings are CGC certified. Mabel (seen below) & Zebedee (seen above) are also already TDI certified therapy dogs (& Lilly is also working towards that goal). Zeb is also already an AKC Champion, with several of his brothers on their way to Championship status. Rene is already Rally titled. Plus Vegas, Valentine & Zebebee are all confirmed Health Gene tested free of the fawn gene (i.e.K^b/K^b homozygous black) & have started the health screening process, beginning with echo heart normals being done this fall (stayed tuned for more results). Zebedee & his father Paz both also carry the markers for the harl gene (Vegas has not yet been tested & there is no current test available that directly tests for the harl gene itself).

Here is another example of the Story Book Litter doing somthing other than winning in breed--at just a year already a functioning therapy dog with owner Mary Lugo of CA. And in March of 2009, as a yearling, she passed both her CGC & TDI with flying colors! Congrats to Mary & "stable Mable"! SIRE is a CanCH+CHIC import. Dam is a homegrown<G>girl ("born in the USA") within striking distance (both majors) of her AmCH, and is already CHIC, as well as CGC and TDI therapy dog tested. Littermates to the bitch titled & qualifying in all dog sports & female family full of working titles. Both families chocked full of Champions in AKC, CKC (Canada) and FCI as well. Sweet, biddable, people-oriented/animal tolerant temperaments. Futurity nominated litter.
