Passion came to us summer of 2007 from our dear friend Halldis Sayvetz of Asgard Arabians in West Virginia. If the name rings a bell, then you've been in Harlequins awhile or know their history, as Holly and Tom were long time partners with Laura Kiaulenas, and although these days focusing on horses, they still keep a hand in, and keep in touch with old friends in the breed. We are grateful to them for their mentorship and also to Katherine Henderson and Barbara Rettig who bred the sire and dam respectively of our new Passion. (Barbara Rettig of Liberte Kennels in Germany sent Sansari to K. Henderson who bred Passion.) It's early days yet to say where she'll go or how she'll be used, but she shows great athletic promise and offers a very breedable pedigree. For now her only job is to be a a good companion & able farm dog. We shall see how she grows & enjoy her sweet biddability meanwhile. |

Passion's call name reflects her ardent personality. Her registered name is a nod to her breeder & the owner who shared her with us. Epona is the horse goddess of the Celts and she was born to romp with the wonderful Asgard Arabians.
