ZEN was Winners Dog & Best of Opposite Sex both days in Lubbock. He also was Best Bred-by Dane & took a BBEX Group 4. Shown by his breeder as a puppy 6 times, he took 3 BOBs, 2 WD/BOS, & 1 RWD! Click here to see him at the National. ZEN shown above in September 2009 (shown @16 months old).

Photos of Zen as a 6 mo. old baby. Shown at 6 months above, Zen is a sizeable puppy (120# & 32") who'll take some time to come into his own. Zen is linebred on our foundation and is the spitting image of his wonderful grandsire Pirate, plus has Pirate's much admired gentleman's temperament too! From the Dragon's Lair Litter Zen's AKC name comes from a series of movements, "Dragon Kung Fu" (Lung Ch'an Gung Fu), taught to Shaolin (Buddhist) monks for centuries. To "Ride The Wind" is more internal art than martial art, and focuses on the gathering of energy (ch'i) & the wise use of power. So ZEN is the perfect call name we felt for such a boy. Bred by Jennifer Burns of Colorworks & JP Yousha of ChromaDane, ZEN is now part of the Bayou Krewe & owned by Paula Stebbins of Lake Charles LA; co-owned by the breeders.
