A NOTE FROM TER on summer events: Monday, July 16: This past weekend Charm received her 1st National (vs. Regional) Master's Leg jumping 20' 1". (She has already received her Regional Master's Title). We made the Amateur Finals. She placed 10th out of 12 in the amateurs and 19th overall out of over 60 dogs!! And she has outdone those Labs, Chessies and other (natural) water dogs. She was on TV last night and I am hoping to have someone tape the clip for me. Otherwise I will see if I can get the video from the TV station. The local station is www.wgal.com if anyone sees anything I didn't. We will be resting up for West Virginia in two weeks and then Frederick MD Aug. 17, 18, and 19. The waves I entered for Frederick are: Fri. @ 2pm and 4pm( Waves 1 and 2). Saturday 12 noon (Wave 4) and Sunday 10 am (Wave 6). We are hoping to be in the finals on Sunday either at 2:30 pm or 4:00 pm Sunday. CHARM GETS HER MASTER TITLE WHILE JUMPING 21 FT. FOUR TIMES IN A ROW AT THE REGIONALS! Charm and Terri are at it again--breaking records for the breed, and this time, breaking into the select few dogs of any breed, able to jump more than 20 feet in dock diving competition. First Charm jumped to a new Dane world record and into an amazing 2nd place in the Senior Division in the regional Dock Diving event on Saturday, June 23, 2007! Then she went out on the first of July to jump 21 ft. four times in a row, gaining her Masters level title in this fun new sport and being overall 9th with more than 50 dogs (mostly retreivers) entered. She was also featured in the local newspaper (photo & story)! CHROMA Three Times Charmed, TD, RN, R1, MJ, TT, TDinc., CGC, aka Charm IS the FIRST Dane to title in Dock-Diving, is Master Jumper titled, and currently also HOLDS THE BREED WORLD RECORD as an AIR-DOG! Charm is the only Dane registered amongst the 10,000 dogs dock-diving, plus Charm is the only titled Dane in Dock-diving events (no other Dane yet has ever even gotten a Junior Level title), so congrats to Terri and Charm for being such trail-blazers. CHARM is also AKC Rally RN (3-27-05) & APDT Rally RL1 Titled (3-6-05)! She's the second Dane to gain this RL1 title in a new sport & new venue & completed her title with a 194 score. CHARM also gained her TD (TRACKING DOG TITLE) late last fall (10-9-04). Very few Danes have ever titled in tracking & this versatile young girl is one of the few & the first of the Chroma-Crew to achieve a tracking degree. She's also a new Therapy Dane as well as the breed's reigning "BIG AIR DOG"! She is ranked in the top 5 for obedience, andranked also in Rally, has her Rally Excellent title. She also has two legs toward U-CD also, but her main focus is working towards her UD & UDX. She is owned & trained by Dina Whitehouse, who has several titled & accomplished Danes. Click here for more on her family. ================================ Champion CHROMA A Kiss for Luck, CD, CGC, aka FRENCHIE finished HER CHAMPIONIONSHIP ALL OWNER HANDLED! Frenchie took her minors on family "vacation days," and then, in about a month, found two 4 pt majors to finish handily. She then went on to do obedience........ ...and CHAMPION FRENCHIES FINISHED HER CD THE FIRST OF AUGUST WITH A 193.5~! She was highest scoring Dane in an all-breed trial in fact on her first outing, then took a Third placement out of nine, and then a Second of 15 with a score of 193.5 to finish her CD in Novice B. CHROMA Chemnin de Fer, CGC, aka Jewel (shown above) was pointed, CHIC certified and was hoping to finish (her Championsship), but was side-lined from conformation competition by a chronic tail injury that required her to be docked upon her return to her breeder and has now been retired to a private home. She may be out trialing in the future. CHROMA I'll Draw Again aka Matisse is a loving friend to his family and a happy camper, and CHROMA Operation Overlord aka Gunner still takes directions from his older merle pal, Picabo's sister Newt<G> (his auntie), but has his own ideas these days. All but Frenchie are neutered, and we have 2005 "French Fries" here to show you. Rosie, Charm, Orion, Jewel & Frenchie all have plans to continue to work & title behind. The merle boys Matisse & Gunner are content to be just "BC" titled as Gunner's owner put it: "Beloved Companion"--a nice title indeed! And last, but not least, Picabo herself is still, as a veteran, out gaining titles in all venues (agility, rally and obedience) with her Junior Handler Joseph Whitehouse. Picabo will be 8 years old in 2006 & her handler is busy, looking towards high school, so she's in semi-retirement, but still trains and still does regular therapy work. So her kids better still watch out<G>, as their momma may be a veteran, but she is still going strong (as is her litter-see her brother Pirate page)! And _her_ dam, Tia, who was 11 in February 2006, is rolling right along; she's still as spry as a puppy (and still as silly<G>some days)!
