Miss MAUD will soon be nine and is doing just fine!

MAUD takes a 3rd in the National Specialty's competitive Veteran's 6-8 class, behind Top 20 bitches while owner-handled. Maud showed like a dream at the 2005 National. I (as her breeder) hadn't seen her in two years and she hadn't shown in 4 years, but she was perfect in the ring; I never had to touch her. Plus in Veteran's Parades she did a pretty FreeStyle with owner Mary Lugo<G>then took a turn all on her own around the ring to enjoy the applause! Her "mini-me" aka Amour says "we adore you Maud!" Thanks to Mary for bringing her from CA so we could all adore her once again.

Miss MAUD showed her stuff at the National in 2005 in Veterans and in Parades, .took a 3rd placement, breeder-owner-handled, and took a turn around the ring with and then without Mary. TO see more on this, go to DaDane at this link.

Miss MAUD gained her Championship at the competitive Astro Shows getting two 4 pt. major. She finished with a BISS & multiple BOBs from the classes & having taken most all of her points at Specialty weekends. She unfortuntely didn't turn out to have as much talent for making babies as for showing, but tried her hardest all the same. Her reward for all her effort & achievement is the home of her dreams: a life on the beach with people who cherish her.

We are grateful to the Lugos for giving Maud the "retirement" home of her dreams. Maud will continue her therapy work and, if she can tear herself away from an enchanted life of beach walks and camping trips, may be out trialing at some point.
