Both SUZI & QT WIN POINTS toward their CHAMPIONSHIP when in San Antonio.

DARE (RIGHT) & ROSIE (LEFT) are the #2 & #3 nationally ranked Danes-Delaney! Both owned & trained by Dina Whitehouse.

DARE & ROSIE are both again ranked nationally by the prestigious Delaney system. The Delaney rating system ranks all dogs in AKC obedience who place 1st thru 4th in all AKC Open and Utility classes during a given calendar year. One point is earned for each dog defeated in a class. Bravo again to Dina & her WHD-CHROMA crew! Click on the photos above for more on each dog.

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY TO THE CATASTICKS: these Pirate "pups" are still out running agility in top form! MABEL has passed her official ORT (odor recognition test) on BIRCH with the National Association of Canine Scent Work.

AMOUR's son ZEN IS A CERTIFIED THERAPY DOG AS A JUNIOR: congrats to Paula & Zen on their completing the TDinc. training & bravo for their volunteer spirit!

A SUMMARY FROM CARRIE FROM THE USDAA NATIONALS: Voltaire's 2009 agility exploits included participation in the USDAA Nationals (Cynosport World Games) where he was the only Dane entered. He ran in traditional USDAA events as well as the European courses. The highlight was a spectacular snooker run that required us to negotiate a path inbetween and around a maze of jumps. Many teams took off course jumps that ended the run early... We did a 5, 6, and a 7 then completed the closing! See course map. Voltaire, being Voltaire attracted a lot of attention and applause even showing up in a USDAA article and on a well known trainer's blog. 2010 will involve another mix of venues with a goal to get the AKC Excellent Fast title (one leg short). QT wins a 4th placement in an extra large (57!) Futurity class. We were so proud of her & thrilled that no less than Mary Anne Zanetos "spotted" her! QT was found also in the regular classes, getting a 2nd place from Sue Yotive (while bribing her with a kiss). We had such fun--more on our 2009 National trip HERE.

Here is another example of the Story Book Litter doing something other than winning in breed--at just a year already a functioning therapy dog with owner Mary Lugo of CA. MARTINE finishes her Rally Excellent (RE) title the same day she completes her Companion Dog (CD) title--and at the Great Dane National Specialty Show! Congrats to Dr. Broxann Spencer, who also took Highest Scoring Harlequin at the Obedience/Rally Trials at the National, as well as winning <G>oldest handler too. Broxann also finished an RN on her nine month old Mantle dog Rene that day. Congrats-that's THREE TITLES in ONE DAY! WoW !!! Martine shown left with a small friend & her owner, is now: CHROMA NORMANDY INVASION CD RE A CGC: Titled at 6 months, she is the youngest ever in the breed to gain a Rally title & is ranked in the Top 10. Dina's Danes go all breed High in Trial & High Combined in Alamogordo! ! !

WHAT A WEEKEND! Dina's Rosie wins Utility B twice, picks up 10 OTCH points and gets a 197 in Open B to end up High Combined, while Dare finished his CD going High in Trial, then wins Open A on a move up the next day!

ROSIE'S HALFWAY TO HER UDX! Rosie picked up two more UDX legs back-to-back in Albuquerque in August 2008, then two more again in Alamagordo in October, picking up both placements and OTCH points all along the way. And in Alamogordo she won Utility B twice, gaining 10 more OTCH points, and took a 2nd in Open B (with a 197!) to the HIT dog to go High Combined at an all breed show! CURRENTLY the #1 UTILITY DANE!

DARE FINISHES HIS CD WITH AN ALL-BREED HIGH IN TRIAL! What a weekend Dina had in Alamogordo! Guidon UDX's young son Dare finished his CD with a 197 & an HIT, then moved up to start his CDX hunt, winning Open A. DINA STARTS A CHROMA WHD DYNASTY OF OBEDIENCE STARS! Charm is now 6 1/2 years old & still out competing-in this Picabo litter, as well as the 2002 Pirate litter, we have several dogs still out actively competing...and on a national level!
