We had a wonderful time at the National Specialty this year in Chattanooga TN. As always, we came as much for the camaraderie as the competiton & had fun with friends new & old.

Plus we had some success for our small boutique of a breeding kennel as well, We brought back a couple of Futurity BoyZ from 2008; and this year the Story Book BoyZ were joined by their mother Story. Zen brought<G>his little cousin QT along for the ride. And "Dr. Brox" had her crew.

THANKS GOES OUT TO GREG LUGO FOR ALL THESE WONDERFUL PHOTOS!

(And family & friends can see more of his work here!)

First off we have Rene' aka Chroma Heart Of The Renegade, RN, CGC, shown by his breeder & co-owner Judi Arsenault, to win the Open Mantle class at both the independent specialty & the National Specialty itself. That's his owner on the right<G>phoning in her instructions! Scroll for more on Dr. Brox & her dogs below.

Next is the winner of the Open Harlequin class at the independent specialty: Zen aka Clrwks Chroma Ride the Wind owned by Paula Stebbins. Zen has about half his minor points already, shown by his breeder JP Yousha. Here Judi Arsenault again did a great job!

Now here below is mother and son: Valentine aka Chroma Hide Your Heart, another pointed junior dog, and his mother, CH/CHIC Story, shown by Judi Arsenault.

And here we go with Story's first Champion son, Maura & Stuart Wright's Zebedee aka Ch. Chroma's Magic Roundabout, CGC. He was a hit in parades as well as made the cut, owner-handled, at the independent specialty! Beautiful young boy is he not!?!?

And last, but not least, is our little girl QT aka Chroma SR Quiet Riot. At just 6 months old she not only took a second place in her regular 6-9 class, we were thrilled she was competitive enough to get a 4th placement in a 5-7 Futurity class of 57--with some incredible young girls--and she was the only girl of color, only one owner-handled, to end up there!

CHROMA SR QUIET RIOT

And that's not all. Dr. Broxann Spencer from Folly Beach SC wowed'em in Rally, finishing two RAEs (Rally Advanced Excellent) titles (on Martine the Harlequin & Remy the Merle), plus got a 2nd place in Rally Novice to finish the RN on her young Mantle boy Rene. Rene's mother Story took a 3rd place, just a point behind her son, in Rally Novice! Since Dina Whitehouse, Carrie Burns & Sue Robinson couldn't make it this year, and the rest of our stuff is so young, we didn't have any entries in obedience and agiltiy. But next year we hope to; and this year we cheered others on!

Here are just a couple of photos of the human side of CHROMADANE:

Dr. Brox to the left, the Arsenaults with Mary Lugo & the Wrights in the center photo, and JP on the right: I'm really just watching the dogs carefully, despite the gunslinger<G>sort of look!
