Pirate epitomizes "working type in black and white."Pirate has been ranked in conformation, agility, rally _&_ obedience. He has puppies titled in agility, rally and obedience, and pointed get in the show ring. He is a proven producer of show-marked Harlequins, Blacks_&_ Mantles. Shown below with a "grandkid" this past year when the "old man" was seven, he's still going strong at nearly 9, and his momma lived to 11 years, 11 months, sire to 10.5 years. He's a dog of classic type and a dog that classic Dane qualities goes deeper than what can simply be seen in the breed ring. This is a BISS Champion who is both performance-titled and health certified--for puppies that can do more than finish!

PIRATE IS A HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE!

Pirate is a proven producer of show-marked Harlequins, Mantles _and_ Blacks. Semen ships with success. (He has produced a litter of more than 10 from a frozen/surgical on a veteran maiden bitch!) He has Champion offspring & get ranked in every AKC dog sport. Pirate is a GDCA Versatility Award winner, Venerable Dane, _and_ a Hall of Fame member. Multiple-agility titled, with both NADAC and AKC titles, he is also one of first four Danes _titled_ in animal-assisted therapy (his full sister is another of the four). Both his parents are also Venerable Danes (lived 10+ years) and Versatility Award winners. He ran with his favorite human in competitive 5 & 10K races until his pal was deployed to Iraq in 2007. Pirate is also CGC temperament tested, therapy titled, & an active TDI Therapy Dog volunteer. He continued to be trialed (was titled and nationally ranked) in rally & obedience as a veteran and still showed on occasion as a veteran as well, added in free style to his repertoire when 8, and used this new skill to to help entertain when working as a therapy dog.Bred sparingly & only after full adulthood and testing completed. The first litter's a performance-specific litter with multiple littermates achieving at the highest levels in multiple sports & are still working at veterans, he has other litters dual-bred with pointed/titled (including Champion) get. We have yet to be able to use him on our own bitches as we're too small a kennel to have enough "distance" yet, but the future plans for him will certainly focus on his use as a key figure at CHROMA. Collected first at 5 years for freezing he produced over 6 breeding units per collection, and his post thaw motility was 85%. Chilled arrives also 80%. Harvested at 9 years he produced 23 breeding pellets at 75% post-thaw, so he was fertile to the end. Pirate is the ONLY Great Dane yet to rank in breed, obedience, rally and agility, plus he is continuing to work as a veteran, not only still competing and working as a therapy dog, but has taken up competitive 5 & 10K competition runs as a veteran. He has get titled in agility, rally and in obedience as well as pointed pups in the show ring. So there's your saddle... How many times do we we Dane owners get asked<G>that? Well thanks to Rocking S Pony Express out of Lubbock TX, the answer is "right here" as they had a saddle that fit Pirate just fine. They did say they had ponies smaller than Pirate...

We spent Sunday afternoon at Stanton's "Old Sorehead Days"--a weekend 3X a year where this wonderful small town in West Texas has an old-style country fair & trade days festival with great food, great folks, lots of wonderful music & things to see, do & buy.
