Pirate epitomizes "working
type in black and white."Pirate has been ranked in conformation,
agility, rally _&_ obedience. He has puppies titled in agility, rally and obedience, and pointed get in the
show ring. He is a proven producer of show-marked Harlequins, Blacks_&_ Mantles. Shown below with a "grandkid"
this past year when the "old man" was seven, he's still going strong at nearly 9, and his momma lived
to 11 years, 11 months, sire to 10.5 years.
This is a BISS Champion who is both performance-titled and
health certified--for puppies that can do more than finish!
Pirate is a proven producer of show-marked Harlequins, Mantles _and_ Blacks. Semen ships with success. (He
has produced a litter of more than 10 from a frozen/surgical on a maiden bitch.) Pirate is
a GDCA Versatility Award winner and Hall of Fame member. Multiple-agility titled, with both NADAC and AKC titles,
he is also one of first four Danes _titled_ in animal-assisted therapy (his full sister is another of the four).
Both his parents are Venerable Danes (lived 10+ years) and Versatility Award winners. He will continue to be trialed
in rally & obedience, still shows on occasion as a veteran,
has added in free style to his repertoire and uses this to help entertain when working as a therapy dog. He also
runs with his favorite human in competitive 5 & 10K races.
Pirate is CGC temperament tested, therapy titled, & an active TDI Therapy Dog volunteer. Bred sparingly & only after full adulthood and testing completed. The first litter's a performance-specific
litter with multiple littermates achieving at the highest levels in multiple sports,
he has other litters dual-bred with pointed/titled get. Look below on details of each. We have yet to be able to
use him on our own bitches as we're too small a kennel to have enough "distance" yet, but the future
plans for him mostly involve his being exclusively used at home. Collected at at 5 years for freezing he
produced over 6 pellets and his post thaw motility was 85%. Chilled arrives also 80%. Harvested at nearly 9 years

OFA Champion of Health Award. Congratulations! The GDCA nominated five dogs and your dog was chosen by the OFA.
Eddie Dziuk mentioned in his letter that we had provided the strongest set of nominees that he had received
so far for any breed. What a great compliment for our breed and an honor for your dog to be selected. He was impressed
with your dog’s versatility competing in multiple arenas and quite successfully in each of them.
You will be receiving a certificate and medallion in the mail. Again on behalf of the GDCA, our congratulations

Pirate, CH CHROMA Thief of Hearts, CD, RA, OA, AXJ, OJC, NAC, HOF, VA, TDIA, CGC, is a Great Dane that has "been
there" and "done that." Recently inducted into the GDCA Hall of Fame, Pirate has been nationally
ranked and acknowledged in Breed competition, Agility, Obedience, Rally Obedience and Therapy dog work. Pirate
completed his breed championship as a 2 year old, and during his Breed ring career was a Top 20 contender with
multiple BOBs, multiple Working Group placements, and a Best in Specialty Show--all breeder-owner handled. By 3
years old Pirate moved on to Agility competition, and is still the only Champion male Great Dane to hold an Excellent
level title in this sport. Pirate was repeatedly ranked in the breed's Top 10 for agility and competed successfully
in both NADAC and AKC competition, earning multiple all breed class wins and placements. Pirate then added Obedience
and Rally Obedience to his repertoire. In his obedience debut he completed his CD in 3 trials in all breed competition,
earning placements each time and an average score of 195, which gave him a spot in the breed's Top 10 rankings
for an entire year. In Rally he is currently in the Top 10 again for breed rankings, and is again winning classes
and getting placements consistently in all breed competition. Pirate is the only Great Dane to date to have been
nationally ranked in his breed for Conformation, Agility, Obedience and Rally. With the establishment of the CHIC
program, Pirate completed all required testing and remains normal in all test evaluations. Beyond the scope of
the dog show world, Pirate as a young dog was certified as a Therapy dog and quickly earned the Therapy dog title
of TDIA. As a sire, Pirate has promising young dogs showing in all venues, including multiple dogs with advanced
performance titles and nationally ranked, and has OFA certified get. As a veteran dog, soon to be 8 years old,
he continues to compete in Obedience and Rally as well as serve as a breed representative in Therapy dog work and
as a "running buddy" with his owner's Naval Officer husband in regional 5 & 10K competitions.

Note please we list all (productive)
breedings (i.e. all litters) on all our sires with details of each publically accessible: not just the odd winner
makes center stage, but rather an overview of all get is made available to provide for a balanced analysis. Dogs
are only made available upon consultation and with a private treaty & written stud contract. Select breedings
to outside bitches are rarely done & only done after an in-depth analysis is performed and all parties are
in concert on all aspects of the breeding from family history to puppy sales. IOW I only breed my boys when I'd
buy a puppy myself from that same litter; for if it is not worth my own hard-earned cash and not relevant to my
own breeding program, then it's not something I want to risk given all that's involved in breeding a "stud"
litter, a responsibility I take seriously as breeding any of my girls. So we stay small to stay happy, even if
it means we miss out on some brags with this reserved attitude.

another full sister is Open obedience titled & training for Utility. Pirate is the ONLY Great Dane yet to rank
in breed, obedience, rally and agility, plus he is continuing to work as a veteran, not only still competing and
working as a therapy dog, but has taken up competitive 5 & 10K competition runs as a veteran. He has get titled
in agility, rally and in obedience as well as pointed pups in the show ring. A CH/CD Willie son out of a
CH/CD daughter of BISS CH Fraser, Pirate's pedigree offers superior Harlequin breeding with a host of healthy,
happy dogs, including various well-known Champion Harlequins, plus multiple relatives with obedience & other

Dane owners get asked<G>that? Well thanks to Rocking S Pony Express
out of Lubbock TX, the answer is "right here" as they had a saddle that fit Pirate just fine. They did
say they had ponies smaller than Pirate...

"Old Sorehead Days"--a
weekend 3X a year where this wonderful small town in West Texas has an old-style country fair & trade days
festival with great food, great folks, lots of wonderful music & things to see, do & buy.
